1. In Romania, the Remember Me Land shelter is running out of kibble to feed its 500 dogs. They will starve if no one helps!

%%%

"We have 500 dogs at the shelter, it’s overpopulated and it’s an ever growing number since we constantly have new arrivals: dog catchers bring dogs daily and we took many Ukrainian dogs in, too! The abandonment rate has increased as well and many strays aren’t sterilised… We’re doing our best to save them all, but it requires much more space and even more kibble...

It’s the worst situation we’ve ever faced, making the dogs’ living conditions worse, at the shelter. Now, the food we give them is rationed, but also, it’s so bad that even the hungriest dogs don’t eat it! We clearly lack the financial means to buy better food in bigger amounts and inflation isn’t stranger to that. It impacts everybody and we can feel it in the drop in donations too!

The lack of kibble has damaging effects on the dogs' physical and mental well-being; they’re sick, on edge and increasingly aggressive... Some violent fights have already occurred. That’s too many tragedies, we can’t let that happen again! Our dogs absolutely need kibble and we need this campaign to succeed to avoid other horrible events to happen!"

2. There are too many dogs and they are hungry: they get weaker and fight dangerously!

###

"Kibble got so expensive with the global chain of events, that it's impossible for us to buy quality… And with more dogs arriving at the shelter than dogs leaving for adoption, it’s always overcrowded! We can only feed them with the cheapest, worst type of food… And now, our remaining stock will barely last a week, so we have reduced the food quantities when we feed the dogs.

They aren’t eating enough, they lack essential nutrients, they’re constantly hungry… And there are nastier side effects: most of them no longer have enough strength, they are losing weight and easily get sick. But the most concerning effect is their peaking aggressivity level. Dangerous dog fights happen very often, as they’re on survival mode…

It’s awful! Just yesterday, 2 of our dogs died in fights… I’ve never felt so worried about our dogs’ lives! Even if we try our best not to let them starve to death, despite our lack of means and the low donations, they’ll end up killing each other because they’re already suffering from hunger… If this kibble campaign fails, the most vulnerable ones will die of sickness... or in fights!"

3. Cutie has barely recovered from a severe virus: underweight and exhausted, he won't survive if this kibble campaign fails!

###

"Cutie was all alone when he was found in the streets… He nearly died from parvovirus and he just got over this highly deadly disease. But he is extremely emaciated and physically weak. He must gain some weight in order to survive! He’s such a friendly, cuddly dog… His life now depends on food, he needs to get quality kibble in proper amounts to build up his strength and immune system. He will not make it without this kibble delivery…"

4. Donations and sponsorships are insufficient to cover the dogs' needs: this campaign is their last hope to get kibble!

###

"We have some of our dogs sponsored, but we need each one of them to be sponsored in order to get enough kibble for everyone! When it comes to donations, they keep on decreasing a lot: inflation unfortunately really makes more people struggle everywhere… And winter is coming, many people fear huge rises in the energy prices, so they just can’t make any extra spendings… This whole economic situation impacts us greatly too and we also fear the extreme winter temperatures: if dogs don’t get kibble, they’ll get weaker and weaker and won’t survive the harshness of the cold.

We are barely able to get low amounts of poor quality food for our dogs, we can’t let them down but the result is that we have to cut down on other extremely important costs: every crucial vet care (such as sterilisations), has so far been cancelled, just like the minor improvements we can make at the shelter so the dogs live in slightly better conditions… Our recent fundraisers haven’t been successful at all. We’re in a desperate situation, this is an emergency and we rapidly need to find a solution to feed our dogs. The success of this Animal Webaction campaign will bring our dog much needed nourishing, healthy kibble to reset their health and behaviour, even for a bit…”

5. Emilie isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving!

###

"As a non-profit organisation, we’re unable to continue our actions without people’s help! Adoptions, sponsorships, donations, all of these are essential for our dogs’ survival. They had such low chances of making it before they arrived here, so we’re so happy when they eventually recover and when we find them new, loving homes! Everyone in the association does their maximum yet it never seems enough, we’re hopeless… Despite our efforts, people still abandon dogs in the streets for stupid, irrelevant reasons… One of the biggest issues in Romania with dogs is that people don’t sterilise them and even though we organised campaigns, there are still too many puppies in the streets!

There has been a surge in abandonments this summer, so dog catchers brought us many dogs… We’ve been lacking everything recently: space, kibble, fundings, more adoptions… It takes a toll on our actions and we can’t save as many dogs as before. Our rescue mission is vital for the dogs in the area. Each dog deserves respect and care, they have feelings, so it’s always a victory whenever we save one! Here, we allow them to have a decent existence. All of them have their own personality, but I am attached and devoted to all of them, so it’s hard for me to see that their needs haven’t been perfectly met lately… We thank everyone who will contribute to the success of this campaign. It means a lot!"

6. If this campaign succeeds, Remember Me Land will not receive any money but 3000 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Romania.

Animal Webaction has a logistics platform in Romania which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

8. In Romania, it is difficult to find funds for kibbles, there are no aid, no grants, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, in complete indifference...
