Abandoned on dangerous ground, Australian was overrun with parasites when we found him!

1. He was left behind in an unsecured field!

Australian is a 16 year old horse, who was abandoned by his owners. His meadow was overgrown with barbed wire! To enter his tiny shelter, he had to bend his head... He also spent several days without water to drink!

2. He had worms under his skin and lost a lot of weight...

Australian had strange marks all over his body. When the vets examined him, they realised that they were worms that had crept under his skin!

He was put on corticosteroids and is doing better, but all this has put him under a lot of strain and he has lost weight...

3. Pellets would help him to get better

With vitamin-rich pellets, Australian would be able to regain the weight he has lost. He would then be in better shape for the coming winter.

4. We can't make it!

We have had a lot of rescues all at once. In total, we are managing 40 horses! There are a lot of vet expenses and feed purchases... We just can't get by!
