Wounded in a trap, poor Lancelot had his tail broken and had to have a leg amputated!

1. He was injured in a trap and had to be amputated...

Lancelot is a 7 year old cat, who had his tail and paw broken after being caught in a trap.

Unfortunately, his leg could not be saved and the vet had to amputate it. Lancelot is now handicapped and walks on three legs.

2. All his teeth had to be removed because of a disease!

Lancelot has the disease of the glass bones at the level of the jaw: with the least shock, his jaw can fracture completely.

To reduce the risks, the vet preferred to remove all his teeth (except one). But Lancelot now has a lot of trouble eating solid food like kibble!

3. He has chronic inflammations in his mouth...

Lancelot often has a lot of pain in his mouth, because his gums tend to be inflamed. This makes it all the more difficult for him to eat kibble.

4. Adapted canned food would help him to gain weight

To keep his strength up despite his health problems, Lancelot will need a diet that's easy to ingest. With wet canned food, he could fill up on energy on a daily basis, so he can keep going.

5. Very recent, our association does not benefit from any help!

Most of the cats we take in charge are sick. Some are under treatment for life, and will never be adopted...

We have to manage everything alone financially, because our association is recent and we have no help. With more than 6 000 euros of veterinary expenses for this year, we can't face it alone !
