1. In Romania, Carmina will soon run out of kibble to feed the 60 dogs at her shelter. They will starve if no one intervenes!

%%%

"I now have 60 dogs in the shelter, and although I regularly give them up for adoption, the streets are still full... Many people continue to abandon their animals, so for every spot that becomes available at the shelter, I take in a new one to prevent it from dying on the streets.

I do my best to make their lives as comfortable as possible until I find a family to adopt them. Unfortunately, it's already been a week since I had to start reducing their portions of kibble due to lack of means... I only have a few bags of kibble left, which will only last for a week: the dogs have already started to lose weight and their immune system has weakened. I didn't rescue them from the street to let them live in the shelter without food...

Even if people are more open than before and start to respect my actions with the stray dogs, they are not at the stage of really helping me: I have to take care of the shelter alone and it is more and more tiring... I need this kibble campaign to succeed to continue saving abandoned dogs! "

2. Carmina can no longer save dogs from dying in the streets without kibble!

###

"Because I don't have enough money, there are dogs who continue to live on the streets and I can't take them in at the shelter... At the moment, I barely have enough kibble to feed the 60 dogs in my shelter, so taking in new ones is impossible: I can't get them off the streets when I don't have any kibble to feed them at the shelter!

In the area, there is no pound that takes care of abandoned dogs, so they are condemned to fend for themselves in the street, facing the lack of food, the cold, and the violence of some people... I would like to be able to save them, but without kibble I am unable to do so!

Despite the drop in donations and the lack of volunteers, I want to continue to fight for them, they do not deserve such a life. If I don't help them, nobody will, their health will deteriorate and they might even die, it would be a catastrophe!"

3. Traumatised by the death of his owner, Ben is very fragile: he will get weaker if Carmina does not quickly find some kibble...

###

"Ben was thrown out in the street when his owner, an elder lady, died. He was so traumatized by this loss that he didn’t want to leave the gate of the house he used to live in. He now fears new people because of the shock of being thrown out from his home. His physical health is also fragile : he has articulatory problems, and he barely deals with the cold weather! He needs more attention, treatment and proper food. Without the correct amount of kibble, his immunity will drop and he will get sick!”

4. With the pandemic, Carmina's difficulties are multiplying and she can no longer buy kibble for her dogs!

###

"Every time I rescue a dog, I'm scared that I won't be able to provide it with food and medical care. Since the pandemic, I have been using my personal savings to cover expenses, but I can't afford it anymore... Adoptions are scarce, while difficulties are piling up... I can't go on like this much longer, I really need help. The financial crisis due to Covid and the war is affecting me, I am really worried about the future...

We currently have 2 employees and 0 volunteers. I manage everything from registering the dogs to promoting adoptions, organising their sterilisation, treatments, and paying all the bills. I get help from some organisations for adoptions and some donations from time to time, but it's not enough. There is still a long way to go before the dogs are put out of their misery. In the meantime, I continue to fight, but without this kibble campaign, I don't know how I'm going to feed them..."

5. Carmina isn't asking for money, only kibble to keep the dogs from starving!

###

"I have always been devoted to animals, I am empathetic, it is natural for me. But it involves a lot of sacrifice... I could have done so many things for my family and myself, but instead I prefer to invest and dedicate my choices and my time to the shelter, because I dream of a better future for animals. This is my mission: to give them a second chance!

The government should be addressing this issue by enforcing the spay/neuter law, but it is not happening and the current situation is very dysfunctional. Despite this, I remain positive, because I can see that thanks to my work, people are more open to sterilisation campaigns than last year, which leads to a slight decrease in the number of dogs on the streets. It's a start, but I've also managed to change the perception of the local population and get owners to start caring more about their dogs, which is a victory! I want to continue down this road, but I can't accomplish these changes without your help..."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Carmina will not receive any money but 3000 kg of kibbles, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistic platform in Romania.

Animal Webaction has a logistics platform in Romania which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

8. In Romania, it is difficult to find funds for kibbles, there are no aid, no grants, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, in complete indifference...
