Animal Webaction visited the site 17 April 2022 and confirms the situation described below.
"I am almost out of kibble to feed the 85 street cats in my care and during the month of Ramadan, it is complicated to get leftovers because all restaurants are closed. I have to limit my rescues and only feed the cats around my neighborhood because I don't have enough kibble to do a big feeding tour. For the past month, my cats have not been eating enough, I only feed them once a day, and I only have 4 days of kibble left... I know that this is not enough, and I am afraid for their health, I am afraid that they will die or become seriously sick.
I feel deep despair... People don't help anymore, and my financial resources are not enough to buy kibble. It's endless, even if I do my best to sterilize as many cats as possible, their number is still increasing, the adoptions are still decreasing and there are many abandonments.
After the failure of my last campaign, several donors of Animal Webaction came to support me, but since then, few people have helped me... I act alone, I don't receive any subsidy, I pay the kibbles with my own money or with donations, and I don't benefit from any support from the government because I am not an association. I feel abandoned, this campaign is my only hope!"
"Lately, several street cats have been getting sick. As I don't have enough kibble, I ration them, so they eat food out of garbage, which is terrible: in the long run it affects their well-being and health! Most of the cats have lost weight, they have become more vulnerable, fragile and sensitive to the most dangerous infections... A good majority of them have been infected by viruses like coryza.
Months to come will mark the season of kittens, many of them will already be fragile, I am afraid that they might die because of coryza. Unfortunately, nobody in my neighborhood helps me, the municipality does nothing either and if people complain, they come to pick up stray cats to throw them in dead and remote areas without food or water! I have to give them kibble to keep them alive. I feel depressed and isolated when I think about their future, and my only hope is that this campaign succeeds so I can save them..."
"Shakoura has been living on the street since she was born. She's 8 months old now, but she hasn't gained weight for a while, she looks like a 5 month old kitten because of her small size. She suffers from acute diarrhea, and she is thin... I think she ate some poison!
Unfortunately, I can't take her in because I don't have a shelter, I already have 4 cats in my home and I have no room to take in any more. It is vital that I continue to come and feed her with kibble so that she can eat properly. As she is very shy and fearful, no one else can approach her. She needs to gain weight and strength, and without kibble she won't survive long..."
"My project of selling cat accessories is no longer profitable, and does not allow me to cover the costs of sterilization and kibble. In addition, the impact of the failure of the previous campaign has been hard on every level, especially mental and financial. Thank God, many people sent me messages and donations to support me and help me with my fundraising.
Despite everything, this help was only very punctual. I am cruelly missing kibble again, I have to ration the cats' portions, which has impacted their health and made them more fragile. To make matters worse, my veterinary debts are so important that the vet refuses any new treatment until I have paid the old bills... I don't know what to do anymore, the fate of my cats depends on this campaign!"
"Since I was a little girl, my parents used to feed stray cats, I started feeding cats when I was in college. Since 2014, I have been fighting for animal welfare in the city of Temara, and that's when I started veterinary care. In 2018, my partnership with Straycare international began, their help is invaluable.
I give everything I can to feed stray cats in my neighborhood. Every day I go out at 8am to make rounds, I find cats suffering, some from car accidents and some from infections. Later in the day, I feed the cats that come to my front door, and the afternoon is devoted to veterinary care.
My actions do not only help cats, but also stray dogs. I take them for vaccination and sterilization. I do my best to find them homes, but I can't save all stray cats and dogs in my city. However, if we are united, together we can do a great job!"

"In the last few days, several of the cats in my care have been poisoned. Many of them had to be hospitalized in emergency, which increases my debts and prevents me from being able to buy kibble.
Without help and without means, everything is difficult. Apart from Stray Care International which has been helping me for years with sterilizations, I have no donations or partnerships.
It's really disappointing and unfortunate, if only I could get support from the government, the food and health situation would be better and my actions would have more impact. I am counting on this campaign to be able to feed my cats..."
