Animal Webaction visited the site 16 April 2022 and confirms the situation described below.
"I've been feeding my dogs bread for several days to keep a little bit of kibble stock. Unfortunately, they are already starting to feel it because this diet is very low in nutrients. The dogs become anxious, they bark at each other, fight... Some of them have already lost weight, they will get sick very quickly, they will need medication. It's a vicious circle, the dogs have to eat kibble so that I can continue to help them!
I usually mix the little kibble I have left with the cheap ones but I can't afford to buy any more. I'm worried about their health, I'm doing what I can but I'm at the end of my rope... I only have a few days of kibble left, by the end of the week the dogs will be eating nothing but bread, and my meagre pension will not allow me to take them to the vet. I need help, this kibble campaign will save them!"
"Azorel was my grandmother's dog, I have been looking after him since she left us several years ago... He had cancer about 3 years ago and thank God he came through it! He is still on medication for his kidneys, joints and many other things. I can hardly afford his medication so I usually buy it on credit... He also needs a special diet, if he keeps eating bread then he won't survive, he needs to eat kibble or he will die..."
"My dogs and I live in terrible conditions, I am not even able to have running water in my house, or to eat properly myself... In winter I even have to sleep with my dogs in my bed, sometimes even with straw! I do have a stove but I can't afford to buy wood... At least I know my dogs are safe, they don't risk being abused or killed in the street. The problem is that I can't continue to look after them on my own: I need help to feed them!
Even though I am very ill, don't have a penny left and am physically and mentally exhausted, I will never give up my fight, I will continue to help as many dogs as possible to live differently, in a loving family. Today, in order to continue fighting, I need this kibble campaign to work. I try to go on day by day, I give pieces of bread to my dogs, but this situation cannot last any longer: this diet will kill them, they have to eat kibble to survive!"
"I live in very complicated conditions: I have only my meagre pension to live on, I cannot repair my house which is in danger of collapsing, I have no running water, no heating, and I eat the rest of the bread I give to my dogs... I accepted my fate a long time ago, my life is fine as it is, but I don't accept that my dogs don't have a decent food....
With the first heat coming on, ticks and infections follow: dogs can't survive these external aggressions on an empty stomach! As I can't afford a stable internet connection it's difficult for me to keep in touch with the outside world, and especially to ask for help. Fortunately Animal Webaction answers my calls, without their help I couldn't do it... I still have hope, if this campaign succeeds my dogs will be saved!"
Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.
"I grew up with animals, my devotion to them is innate! I can't imagine my life any other way, when I see the number of dogs I have saved from the street, cared for, fed, loved, and for whom I have found an adoptive family, it fills me with joy and I want to continue fighting for all the others!
Unfortunately it's difficult to get by on my own, I live in total isolation because my means don't allow me to offer myself more comfort... My sacrifices have always paid off, but I am forced to live from day to day, I lack everything, especially to sterilise the dogs in the streets...
My loneliness is heavy, especially when I have to travel to buy food for the dogs: my village is very isolated, each trip costs me money and energy... The dogs I rescue are all sterilised and vaccinated, my entire budget is spent on saving them from the streets."
When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.
