Poor Holly is worn out from severe diarrhoea…
It is always a huge disappointment to see a campaign fail, it means that the concerned animals will not receive any help. Unfortunately, we can not ship incomplete campaigns.
We want to maximize the help we are all bringing to the animals in distress. Our campaign goals are calculated to balance our storage, delivery and manufacturing costs of the offered products.
Delivering failed campaigns would generate too many costs, which would eventually lead to the bankruptcy of the website and leave all the animals that we could have helped alone...
The delivery of unfinished campaigns is also physically impossible for some products (if only 50% of a kennel is financed: we can not cut it in half).
Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to transfer money instead of the advertised product (article L 548-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code).
For this reason, when a campaign fails, donations are immediately refunded. If they want to, donors can send this money directly to the association.
Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to use the money for anything else than the original use announced in the campaign (article L 548-1).
So, unfortunately, we are not allowed to transfer donations from a campaign to another.
Free clicks are saved before being reallocated to other campaigns (free clicks being immaterial, they are not submited to the same obligations than financial donations).
This campaign failed, it won't be delivered... Collected quantities have been cancelled (payments have been transfered back and free clicks have been saved in a stock).

Animal Webaction visited the site 14 May 2022 and confirms the situation described below.
"With 146 dogs in the shelter it is very difficult to find kibble, we struggle every day... It's a never-ending cycle: we manage to find homes for some dogs, but as soon as they are gone, we find other dogs that need to be rescued from the streets and need us. At the moment we have reached the maximum number of dogs we can take in...
Today, we are already so far in debt that we simply cannot afford to buy kibble! We don't have any money: donations have started to decrease since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, everything has become more expensive, and the local government doesn't have much interest in helping a private shelter, so we don't have any support from them...
There is a public pound, but the dogs live in unsanitary conditions, fight each other for a few kibbles, mate with each other, and many other problems that create overpopulation in overcrowded pens... Our shelter is the only one in our city that really rescues dogs but without kibble we can't afford to save any more! We need this campaign to work, we have no other option..."
"Our main concern at the shelter is the lack of kibble: we do our best to give enough to the dogs, but due to lack of means, we have been obliged to reduce the daily amount we give them for some days now...
Some dogs already very weakened by their past are likely to fall ill, the others are likely to fight among themselves to eat more kibble... Moreover, the kibble we offer them is not of good quality, which does not help their health... Unfortunately, we can't buy better kibble because of the lack of money, so their health is not likely to improve if the situation continues like this for too long!"
"Kika was found on the streets under a dumpster when she was a puppy, someone probably threw her in there because they didn't want to take care of her. Since then she has been living at the shelter.
She has an eye infection that keeps coming back, it never completely heals even with the medication we give her... Without kibble, the care and medication we give her will no longer work, her infection may get worse and she may lose her sight completely!"
"We are currently facing a shortage of funds due to lack of donations, so it is impossible for us to buy kibble... We have so many debts that we receive calls almost every day from people we owe money to, including banks, and we have no idea when we will be able to pay these bills... The war in Ukraine has also had an impact on our shelter: people and organisations who were willing to help us are now helping dogs in Ukraine, and we are left alone with no money and no volunteer.
Summer is coming. During this season we will work 12-15 hours a day in our shop on the border. It was closed during the pandemic, this business allows us to earn some money so that we can finance the expenses of the shelter. Unfortunately, it is not profitable enough to support our respective families and our dogs... Our fear is that if we can't get kibble, the dogs will starve... We are stressed and tired, but we have to keep going! And we can't do it without the success of this kibble campaign...".
"Since we created our association, we have been improving the lives of all the abandoned dogs we rescue: without us, these dogs would starve on the streets, or fall ill from malnutrition. After rescuing them, we give them a new life by finding them a new family who takes care of them. From the beginning we have also tried to get the local pound to comply with government law, and they are finally starting to do so, so the overall situation for the animals is improving.
We have mixed feelings, we are happy when we see that some dogs find a new loving family, but on the other hand we are sad because many dogs end up on the streets and we just can't help them all... We really hope that people will stop giving up their pets just because they are not cute anymore or because they are sick. The best case scenario for the future would be that at some point there are no more new dogs needing our help and all the dogs manage to find a new family!"
Animal Webaction has a logistics platform directly in Serbia, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.
"There is an organisation that helps with sterilisations and we are really grateful to them, but apart from that we don't get much help... We also work with a North Macedonian and British association that has helped us find homes for about ten of our dogs. Lately we have managed to get a few more dogs adopted than usual, so we hope this trend will continue.
As far as finances are concerned, everything comes from our private funds. It's very difficult because we do our best to help the dogs as much as we can, but at the end of the day, we are also human beings on a modest income. We also have to feed our families, and we don't want to become the ones who will need someone else's help and savings...".
When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.
