1. She was probably beaten...

Amélienne is a one-year-old cat, who was abandoned at a feeding site. X-rays showed that her pelvis was very damaged: it is completely lowered, which makes her limp and prevents her from moving normally.

The vet thinks she has been beaten: she is constantly stressed and seems traumatized...

2. With canned food, she would have enough to get her strength back

Very palatable canned food would help Amelie get her energy back. Perhaps such comfort food given on a regular basis would help soothe her a bit, in addition to a dedicated treatment.

3. Many cats are abandoned!

The kitten season has started again: for the past three weeks, we have been taking in mothers with their kittens, as well as adult cats that are sociable but in very poor health. Abandonments are still going strong! In total, we have nearly thirty new arrivals!
