Heart murmur, joint pain, damaged teeth: Tchyca has many health problems!

1. She suffers from a heart condition...

Tchyca is a 37-year-old pony, who was in danger of being euthanized or abandoned. So we took her in. Unfortunately, the poor thing has a heart murmur: she is often tired and out of breath, which handicaps her on a daily basis.

2. She has joint pain

Over time, Tchyca has developed a lot of arthritis. When she lies down, she can't get up by herself... so she stays up most of the time, which makes her tired.

3. Her teeth are in bad shape!

Due to a lack of dental care in the past, Tchyca is having more and more trouble chewing. She will have to see the dentist soon, because her teeth are really damaged!

4. With pellets, she could regain her strength

Moistened pellets would be a great help to Tchyca, considering the state of her teeth. It would be the occasion for her to fill up again with vitamins, to spend her old age in better shape.

5. We had a large unexpected rescue!

We had to do a big rescue of 12 horses not long ago. With the 40 or so equines (donkeys, horses, ponies) that we were already taking care of, it's starting to be a lot... it's becoming difficult to find the finances to care for and feed them all!
