Poor Granita is blind and has a deformed jaw!
It is always a huge disappointment to see a campaign fail, it means that the concerned animals will not receive any help. Unfortunately, we can not ship incomplete campaigns.
We want to maximize the help we are all bringing to the animals in distress. Our campaign goals are calculated to balance our storage, delivery and manufacturing costs of the offered products.
Delivering failed campaigns would generate too many costs, which would eventually lead to the bankruptcy of the website and leave all the animals that we could have helped alone...
The delivery of unfinished campaigns is also physically impossible for some products (if only 50% of a kennel is financed: we can not cut it in half).
Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to transfer money instead of the advertised product (article L 548-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code).
For this reason, when a campaign fails, donations are immediately refunded. If they want to, donors can send this money directly to the association.
Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to use the money for anything else than the original use announced in the campaign (article L 548-1).
So, unfortunately, we are not allowed to transfer donations from a campaign to another.
Free clicks are saved before being reallocated to other campaigns (free clicks being immaterial, they are not submited to the same obligations than financial donations).
This campaign failed, it won't be delivered... Collected quantities have been cancelled (payments have been transfered back and free clicks have been saved in a stock).

Animal Webaction visited the site 08 November 2022 and confirms the situation described below.
"Sadly, it's always the same story...The number of dogs in the shelter has increased because people still do not understand how important it is to neuter their dogs. Right now, we have 260 adult dogs in the shelter and 80 puppies... It's crazy and these figures just keep increasing!
At the same time, donations are getting smaller and smaller, and I believe it's partly for the same reason : the number of dogs in need in Romania is too huge, and supporters are very few. At this moment we are 2 volunteers in the whole shelter. The lack of volunteers is one big problem, but it's nothing compared to the lack of funds and especially the lack of food!
Right now, we only have enough to feed the dogs for another 2 days at most... and that's only if we continue to cut down their portions. We desperately need food, it's not something we can postpone! I am putting all my hopes in this campaign, the dogs need good food and as temperatures continue to drop, they need it quickly!"
"Everything that is happening right now, the inflation, the lack of sponsors; it's a nightmare for us! We have no choice but to reduce the portions of kibble we give the dogs and we've been doing so for a while already... Our dogs definitely do not eat enough.
The thing is, here in Romania, winters are absolutely freezing. If I don't find enough kibble soon, I'm really afraid that some of my dogs will not survive. Sure, we can try to provide straw and blankets, but dogs cannot stay warm and survive a Romanian winter without enough food to fill their stomachs... The situation could degenerate very fast and this frightens me!
As for street dogs, I can't even bear the thought of them out there in winter. They are rejected by people and if I don't rescue them, they will be the first ones to die... Honestly, food is the one resource our entire actions revolve around. Without it, nothing is achievable and if I faiI to procure it... I will be overwhelmed with the guilt of dealing with the consequences."
"Brownie is a 8-year-old female that I rescued from the pound. Unfortunately she recently had a vascular accident at my shelter. She can no longer stand normally, she has problems with her coordination and balance. She'll most likely have these problems for the rest of her life now... Brownie's health is very fragile, she needs constant monitoring and without food, she will be one of the first ones to suffer the consequences."
"As a non-profit organization, I can only count on people’s donations and it's become harder now because sponsors are fewer and the price of kibble has increased a lot! One day we can have enough but tomorrow we can have nothing, and all the responsibilities are on my shoulders to find a way to keep the dogs' bellies full...
I am always in debt at the vet and the same when I buy food, we basically live from one day to another! I even had to give up my worker because I needed to use the money for the dogs' treatments... We get no help from the government and sadly we do not get help from private individuals in Romania either.
I really don’t understand why, because an organization like ours is doing all the hard work and trying to make a difference for all these poor dogs, while nobody else seems to care... At this stage, I can only hope that this campaign will be a success. My shelter is the only home for the abandoned dogs of the area and with 330 souls under my care currently, it's impossible for me to manage alone!"
"When I created this shelter, my hope was that people would join me and that together, we could make a difference for the abandoned dogs of our region. But in the end, apart from my friend Annie who's helping me at the shelter everyday, I do not get any help whatsoever. One day, we just woke up alone in the middle of more than 300 dogs... Our shelter just keeps on getting more and more crowded and this situation will never end until people realize how quintessentially important it is to sterilize their pets...
To make matters worse, our adoptions are also very low, which means we have many more entries than exits and it's becoming impossible to cope! That's my least favorite part about having a shelter : rescuing and saving a scared dog that I know has almost a 0% chance of getting adopted... It's heartbreaking really. We are doing our best to create the best conditions for them because we know that a lot of them will stay here for a long time, if not their whole lives.. But the one thing the dogs need constantly is food, and we cannot provide it without help!"
Animal Webaction has a logistics platform in Romania which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.
"Being in animal protection has its ups and downs, and right now it's definitely a down. I post on Facebook, I scream for help but I feel like I am invisible... I try to explain my situation but people don’t see or don’t want to see.
I have one collaboration with an organization in the UK, they support me with adoptions but unfortunately no dog could travel this year because of the ban on Romanian dogs entering the country. And although this ban has now been lifted, there is a lot of paperwork to complete so it will be a long time before our adoptions can fully resume.
At this moment I can only count on my dogs' sponsors, but they are very few and definitely not enough to cover the needs of so many dogs. I need this campaign to succeed desperately. Not having enough kibble to feed my dogs is the worst thing there is!"
When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.
