Red gums, inflammation, swelling: Athos has a calicivirus!

1. He is missing teeth!

Athos is a 4 years old cat, who is suffering from a calicivirus. His gums are swollen and red. The inflammation has even made him lose some teeth! Chewing has become more and more complicated for him.

2. Canned food would help him to eat without pain

Wet food would allow Athos to eat without too much pain. He would only have to take it and let it slide down his throat, to get his energy back each day. His body would then be better able to fight the virus.

3. We can no longer get by...

I have taken in many cats that are in bad shape which represents a lot of veterinary expenses each month. The donations are a disaster: there are none left! With 132 animals to take care of, we can't keep up...
