Pellets necessary
Les Galopades decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of pellets is highly critical.
Vicky is a 12-year-old Shetland pony, who is battling emphysema. She coughs and struggles to breathe, in addition to having a runny nose and weepy eyes. Therefore, we provide her with cortisone to help alleviate her symptoms.
Besides this, she also has pulmonary oedema. This has occurred because her previous diet consisted only of poor quality food. Poor Vicky had to consume mouldy hay directly off the ground!
Owing to neglect and lack of care, Vicky has poorly-conditioned hooves and damaged teeth. Chewing food has become nearly impossible for her!
Complementing the veterinary care, Vicky would immensely benefit from pellets. Once moistened, such premium quality food would give her body everything that it was previously deprived of. Some of her health issues, as a result, might potentially see improvements.
As donations and fundraising activities don't always bring in sufficient funds, we are forced to pay for pellets out of our own pockets every day. This is increasingly stretching our finances thin!
