Covered in scars, poor Xena was used in dog fights...

1. She's suffered abuse...

Xena is a 10-year-old dog who was used for dog fights. Her body is riddled with scars from bites. She arrived covered in vermin, with her fur all but lost.

2. She's been neglected and starved!

In addition to suffering from malnutrition, Xena's teeth are severely damaged. We also need to remove several mammary tumours that have caused adhesions.

3. Canned food would help her get back on her paws

After all that she's been through, Xena needs to regain her strength. A diet rich in good quality nutrients would replenish her energy, getting her fit for her upcoming operation. To be able to eat her fill of such tasty food would offer immense comfort!

4. We hope donations will pick up again...

The pet abandonments this summer have put a lot of pressure on us. Many new animals have come to the association with severe health problems. As donations had ceased during the holiday period, we don't have enough funds to buy adequate food...
