Underweight, dehydration, illness: little Usain is having a very tough start in life!

1. He was in a critical state!

Usain is a month-and-a-half-old kitten we found when he was only 3 days old. Besides being severely malnourished and dehydrated, he had a severe case of cat flu.

His eyes were sealed shut, his nose was runny, and he struggled to breathe. He therefore spent two days at the vet’s. The virus hasn't completely cleared yet, so we do have a treatment to administer.

2. With canned food, he could complete his growth normally

With the help of nutritious, balanced canned food, Usain could finally put on some weight, while remaining well-hydrated. This would be an effective method for him to regain his strength and to take his medication, thereby helping him recover from the cat flu.

3. The association is in full swing...

In addition to the hundreds of cats we usually care for, we are overwhelmed with kittens. Our supplies of food are running out, but we don’t have a sufficient budget to keep up...
