"We've only got three days' worth of kibble left! I've already started to reduce the portions I give the dogs... I'm doing my best to make up for this by mixing leftover chicken and hard bread with the meagre portions of kibble, but it's clear that this diet isn't suitable. Dogs are getting less than they should; they're not eating enough.
Our dogs' health is visibly deteriorating; they're getting weaker by the day... I'm trying to find a solution, but it's difficult. Adoptions are non existent and donations are very, very slow. We can't afford to buy any more kibble, and lately the number of dogs in our care has increased, which means our kibble is running out even faster...
I can't remember a more difficult time than the present, especially with the global recession exacerbating our difficulties and lowering our donations. Only 26 of our dogs are sponsored... The idea of not being able to ensure a stable supply of kibble is a constant preoccupation. The situation is urgent and the impact on dogs is both immediate and worrying...."
"The lack of kibble is leading to a worrying situation for our dogs. Their bodies are not getting the nutrients they need to maintain a healthy weight and condition. If the situation persists, their health and resistance to disease may deteriorate dangerously. They may fall ill more easily and never recover... Even minor ailments can become serious without proper nutrition!
What's more, their ability to withstand extreme weather conditions is diminished. As winter approaches, this concern becomes ever more pressing, given their weakened condition... They need a good diet to help them withstand these difficult conditions.
This kibble campaign is crucial. It's the only viable solution to prevent these harmful effects on our dogs. I'm afraid that without this kibble, some dogs won't make it through the winter... Making sure they get these kibbles is a matter of survival!"
"My appeals for donations on social networks yield only disappointing results. Even by approaching animal protection organizations, I have only obtained a very modest donation, far below what we need to feed our dogs. Adoptions are also at a standstill, which makes our situation even worse.
I have tried to establish partnerships with local restaurants, but to no avail. Some bakeries sell me their old bread, but the quantities are random, and it's not a suitable food for dogs anyway... My negotiations with kibble suppliers to obtain extended payment terms have been unsuccessful, adding to our growing difficulties...
All this effort, and yet the debts keep piling up and the kibble shortage continues! Every day, the reality of our situation becomes more pressing. This struggle to obtain enough kibble is a constant reminder of the challenges we face in ensuring the survival of the dogs who depend on us..."
"The urgent need for kibble has a direct impact on our ability to care for dogs. Every day, maintaining their health becomes more and more difficult in the absence of sufficient kibble. Our ability to take in more abandoned dogs is severely limited. It's not just a question of feeding the dogs we currently have, but also of having the resources to help other dogs in need!
In addition, our efforts to socialize the dogs, a key element in preparing them for adoption, are hampered by the lack of adequate kibble. Dogs' social development is crucial to their chances of finding a forever home, and the lack of food compromises these efforts. What's more, without kibble, their health and appearance are less than optimal, which diminishes their chances of being adopted... The lack of kibble hinders our efforts to provide a stable and stimulating environment, essential to the health and happiness of dogs!"
"I'm constantly striving to improve the living conditions of our 200 dogs, trying to provide them with some semblance of comfort and safety in our shelter. My love for these animals is the driving force behind every action, every decision. Yet this mission is not without emotional consequences. It's disheartening to realize that our resources are not sufficient to meet their needs, a reality we are often confronted with...
Every day brings its own challenges, but the thought of giving up never crosses my mind. My commitment goes far beyond simple care; it's also about finding these dogs permanent homes where they can live happily. Every dog, with its unique story, deserves a loving family!
Rehabilitating a dog brings a profound sense of accomplishment. Seeing a once shy and anxious animal transformed into a confident and loving companion reaffirms the importance of our work. The joy of every successful adoption fuels my determination to keep fighting, whatever difficulties we face! We are these dogs' only hope of a better life, and it's our duty not to let them down."
