"I only have 4 days' worth of kibble left at the moment. The constant rise in prices is putting a crushing strain on my already limited budget. I've been forced to reduce the portions I give my dogs... It's a decision that's weighing heavily on me, and one that's only postponing the inevitable.
Every day I see the consequences of these reduced portions: the dogs become nervous. Their health is deteriorating rapidly, and I find myself powerless in the face of a situation that is getting worse by the day. Their well-being, which has always been my absolute priority, is now in jeopardy...
Not being able to feed them properly fills me with deep anxiety. My only glimmer of hope is this campaign of kibble, but time is running out and the threat of my dogs going hungry becomes more real every day...".
"I'm emptying my last bags of kibble... If I don't get some in the next few days, I fear the environment at the shelter will deteriorate rapidly. The atmosphere is already tense... Usually calm dogs are starting to show signs of aggression. I'm afraid that hunger will push them into fights, making the situation even more difficult to manage!
The weaker dogs, in particular, may not survive this ordeal. This thought haunts me day and night. Every dog in my care is precious, and the thought of losing them to a lack of kibble is unbearable... In addition, prolonged hunger is likely to cause their health to deteriorate, weakening their immune defences. Without kibble, all my efforts to prevent disease will be in vain...
Every day that goes by without a solution increases the risk to my dogs' health and safety. The prospect of this campaign failing is terrifying... I sincerely hope to find a way out of this crisis before it's too late."
"These are difficult times. Despite all my efforts to ensure the survival of the dogs in my care, the challenges are mounting. My appeals on social media to attract donors have had only a limited impact. I have looked for sponsors, hoping to find financial support, but my search has been in vain.
My dog sponsorship programme, an initiative to involve people directly in the welfare of our residents, attracted very few participants. Even my initiatives to raise the refuge's profile only marginally increased donations. I also tried to negotiate reduced prices for kibble, but to no avail.
I tried to reduce other expenses at the shelter, but this didn't free up enough resources to solve the kibble problem. All these efforts, without the hoped-for results, leave me with a deep sense of anxiety. I fear for the life of every dog... Every day that goes by without a solution worsens their situation and mine!"
"The lack of kibble disrupts every aspect of my mission. Without adequate food, I can't help traumatised or abused dogs return to a normal life and health... The dogs struggle to recover physically and emotionally, which hinders my rehabilitation efforts. Making these dogs adoptable is at the heart of my mission, but without kibble, it's impossible!
In addition, without kibble, my ability to welcome and care for new dogs is reduced to zero. This jeopardises not only the well-being of the current dogs, but also the future of the shelter itself... I feel increasingly powerless in the face of this crisis affecting the animals in my care. The survival of my shelter and my ability to continue my rescue mission depend on this campaign! I'm asking you to help on their behalf, as they can't do it themselves..."
"Every single one of my days is devoted to protecting and caring for abandoned dogs. For these abused and neglected animals, my shelter represents a haven of peace, a place where they can finally find love and safety. However, beyond the walls of the shelter, the situation of stray dogs in the region remains worrying. They are often forgotten, neglected... and their fate is a matter of indifference.
In the face of indifference and a lack of understanding of the needs of these sensitive creatures, I strive to raise awareness in the community, working tirelessly to change local perceptions. In this fight to change attitudes, I come up against obstacles, but I remain determined. This hard work is essential not only for the well-being of the dogs I take in, but also to raise global awareness.
The situation of stray dogs here needs urgent attention. These animals depend on shelters like mine to survive. Every action we take, every effort we make, is aimed at creating a world where every dog has the chance to be loved, cared for and respected. The challenge is great, but the will to create positive change for these animals is even greater."
