Victoire is a one-year-old little cat we found in the undergrowth. She, unfortunately, has gingivitis. To alleviate the inflammation in her gums, we had to have some of her teeth extracted. Consequently, she has difficulty chewing and has lost a lot of weight.
Victoire has also contracted cat flu. Her nose is runny and her bronchi are so congested that she sometimes has difficulty breathing. We are thus providing her with steam treatments to clear her respiratory tract and administering antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medication.
Canned food that's rich and balanced could help Victoire get stronger each day, despite the condition of her teeth.
As it's a wet food, Victoire could also stay well-hydrated, and see her respiratory pathways clear naturally. Such a daily intake of proteins and vitamins would gradually allow her to regain a normal weight.
This is the first year that we've received no monetary donations at all. With around fifty animals to look after, many of whom are sick and need care, the situation is becoming more than critical. Our food supplies are almost depleted, and we're unable to replenish them!
