Flocon is a 10-year-old cat, whom we found in a critical state in a car park. It turns out he has pancreatitis (an inflammation of the pancreas), requiring antibiotic treatment.
Flocon also has diabetes. He therefore needs a dose of insulin morning and evening, which is highly expensive. We no longer have the means to provide him with a suitable diet!
High in protein and low in carbohydrates, the canned food designed for diabetic cats would help stabilise Flocon's blood sugar levels.
This would be a fantastic way for him to regain energy without risking a worsening of his health condition. Such appetising food would also help him take his antibiotics more easily.
We are struggling with in-store collections, making the situation extremely complicated. We are not going to have enough food to last in the coming weeks!
Other charities have been forced to shut down. We are very scared that we might have to do the same if the situation does not improve...
