"Right now, our charity is looking after 175 stay cats spread across about ten feeding sites. We were supposed to get a kibble delivery from another animal welfare organization in July 2023, but that help never came! So, we had to dip into our funds to keep meeting our furry friends' needs. Some of our volunteers are even cutting back on their own needs to help feed the cats, but it's not enough...
The situation is so dire that we have to give less food to the cats at some places! The poor things aren't getting enough to eat, and the cold weather is making them weaker. They're also getting sick more often and tend to fight and hurt each other... It's a really tough cycle that's started! And it's only going to get worse since in a few days, we'll be out of kibble entirely!"
"People who support our organization often have limited resources, while those with a high standard of living do not feel connected to our cause. As a result, with the decrease in purchasing power, donations have dropped by 30% in recent months!
This year, we have taken in a huge number of kittens with gastrointestinal issues. Births never really stopped, so there are constantly new mouths to feed... As for the adult cats that have been living outdoors for years, their health is significantly deteriorating. Many of them are suffering from calicivirus orcat flu! Consequently, the portion of our budget allocated to veterinary expenses keeps increasing, which prevents us from being able to buy more kibble!"
"Blanco is a stray cat who has been living at a feeding site for over three years. Unfortunately, he has developed ear cancer, his ears are becoming necrotic! The veterinarian has to operate on him regularly, removing the damaged parts to limit the disease's progression.
Since his cancer diagnosis, Blanco has become very weak. He has lost a lot of weight and gets tired more easily than before. If we run out of kibble to feed him, he won't be able to fend for himself and find food, and he will not survive!"
"Taking care of all these cats takes up a lot of time every day. We are only a few volunteers managing everything, and we all have very limited resources...
Without this campaign, we don't know how we're going to make sure the cats can eat their fill... Despite putting our whole hearts into it and giving as much of our time as possible to support them, we won't achieve anything without kibble!"
