Bijou was living in an apartment with 50 other cats!

1. She lived in difficult conditions…

Bijou is an 8-year-old cat who was living in an apartment with 50 other cats. The lack of space and close quarters led to inbreeding… Fortunately, we were able to rescue her!

2. She has severe cat flu!

Bijou suffers from chronic cat flu. In the winter, she spends her days under a heat lamp, so weakened by her condition. She even vomits mucus occasionally, as her respiratory passages are heavily congested by the virus! We try to give her inhalations to provide some relief.

3. With canned food, she could regain energy

Canned wet food would help keep Bijou well-hydrated. It would be a source of vitamins and proteins, allowing her to build strength daily. Gradually, she could become more resilient and improve her chances of recovering from the virus.

4. Nous devons prendre en charge 50 chats supplémentaires d’un coup…

We have to take in an additional 50 cats at once… Compared to last year, our association's budget is in deficit. And things might not improve: someone has abandoned over 50 cats, which we will have to take care of in addition to the fifty or so we already look after.

Many are old or ill and may never be adopted. The association has been running for eight years, but we have never faced such challenges!
