1. Heart problems causing circulatory issues…

Sapristi is a 20-year-old horse, retired from the equestrian centre due to numerous health issues. Owing to a severe heart murmur, his blood circulation is poor, which causes swelling in his legs.

Because of this, he sometimes struggles to move around, particularly uphill. As for his heart murmur, it could provoke a heart attack with minimal exertion…

2. He's suffering from pulmonary issues!

Sapristi also has emphysema. At times, he has great difficulty in breathing. We need to prevent him from inhaling dust as much as possible. Therefore, hay is not a suitable nutrition for him.

3. Moistened pellets would allow him to regain strength without risk

A comprehensive feed such as pellets would provide Sapristi with the means to keep going. We would moisten them for him, so as to not take any risks. Having access to such a diet would be of great support to him!
