Poor Poon's has had a heart attack!

1. He suffered a heart attack...

Poon's is a 25-year-old horse, coming from a riding centre. Poor Poon’s had a heart attack during a class... He collapsed suddenly and it took an hour to get him back on his feet. Since then, he is doing well, but he needs to rest to prevent it from happening again.

2. He has lung problems!

Poon’s also struggles with emphysema. At times, he struggles to breathe. We need to protect him as much as possible from dust inhalation. Thus, hay is not a suitable food for him.

3. Hydrated pellets could help him regain strength without risk

Complete nutrition like pellets would give Poon's enough energy to keep going. We would dampen them to make it safer for him. Having access to such a diet would be a great support!

4. The current weather makes everything more difficult!

Given the weather, the pastures are muddy and lack grass for the horses. The animals are cold and worn out by the rain and wind. Now more than ever, they need supplementary feeding, but we simply do not have enough resources!
