Didi is a 15-year-old dog who was living on the streets before we took him in two years ago. As he's aged, the condition of his teeth has deteriorated. The poor fellow can't chew anymore, making it impossible for him to eat dry food!
The soft and easy to chew texture of canned food would make it easier for Didi to eat. This way, he could once again get all the nutrients he needs without any trouble, while remaining adequately hydrated.
His appetite would remain stimulated, allowing him to eat regularly and keep fit despite his age. Such canned food, made with quality ingredients, could help prevent the onset of health issues commonly seen in senior dogs.
We've been running the association since 2011, and are currently looking after around 50 animals, many of whom are sick cats. There are only three of us volunteers managing everything, including finances.
Without any subsidies and only limited assistance with sterilisation and identification of the animals, we often have to dip into our personal funds to feed the cats... But with the rising cost of living, we won’t be able to continue this way for much longer!
