Suffering from pancreatitis and calicivirus, poor Micky has lost a lot of weight!

1. His pancreas is inflamed…

Micky is a six-year-old cat who was abandoned several years ago. He has frail health and has ended up developing pancreatitis: his pancreas is inflamed, requiring him to be on regular treatment. He has also lost a lot of weight over the past few months!

2. He lost his teeth due to a virus…

Micky also has a severe case of calicivirus. His gums are inflamed, but we can't perform a tooth extraction to relieve him because he's too weak for such a surgery.

Since then, he continues to battle against ulcers in his mouth and on his tongue. We are therefore administering him regular care with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories every two weeks.

3. Blankets would allow him to rest comfortably

Blankets would offer Micky additional comfort and warmth, helping to stabilise his body temperature. A comfortable environment would be very beneficial in helping him to fully rest!

4. A typhus outbreak has worsened our situation…

The association's situation is precarious. We continue our efforts, despite the mounting financial difficulties...

A recent typhus outbreak forced us to start a large-scale vaccination campaign, which has heavily impacted our budget! At present, we are caring for around 150 cats, putting constant pressure on our resources…
