Damaged teeth, exhaustion, severe parasitic illness... Augustin arrived in a catastrophic state!

1. He has suffered abuse and neglect!

Augustin is an eight-year-old dog, who was seized from a shelter in Reunion Island due to maltreatment, and who then spent two years in a pound before being repatriated to mainland France.

Due to the lack of care over the years, he arrived with his teeth in a shocking state. The vet has therefore provided him with the necessary dental care.

2. He has a serious parasitic disease...

Augustin tested positive for heartworm disease. This slow-progressing disease can be fatal: the presence of a worm in the heart can cause heart failure, and result in the animal's death if it is not treated.

Augustin is therefore on an antibiotic treatment, to eradicate the parasite causing his distress. But all of this is very tiring for him...

3. With canned food, he could regain strength

Suitable canned food could offer Augustin essential nutrition, easy to consume despite his dental problems. Such a diet would provide the essential nutrients to support his immune system, aid his digestion and help to improve his overall health, while also addressing his specific medical conditions.

4. We are increasingly vulnerable!

As an association, we are facing extremely difficult times. We are dealing with an increase in animal suffering and a significant reduction in aid, which is both exhausting and demoralising!

Despite the distress and high costs that rescues represent, it is impossible for us to remain indifferent to animal suffering. Associations like ours are in crisis, and are battling rising debts and a general sense of helplessness...
