Heartworm, mammary tumours, tooth loss: poor Zoe has serious health problems!

1. She has suffered from neglect and lack of care!

Zoe is a seven-year-old pooch who was taken from a Reunion Island shelter due to abuse, and then spent two years in a pound before being repatriated to mainland France.

For lack of care over many years, she arrived with mammary tumours and heartworm disease (a condition linked to the presence of a worm inside the heart). Hence, we are going to do our best to treat her.

2. Her teeth were in a disastrous state…

Upon arrival, Zoe's teeth were in such advanced state of decay that we had to perform extractions and a scaling. Therefore, she can no longer eat dry kibble as she cannot chew at all!

3. With canned food, she could regain her strength healthily

Specially formulated canned food could provide Zoe with vital nutrition, easily consumable despite her dental problems. Such a diet would provide her with the necessary nutrients to boost her immune system, aid digestion, and improve her overall health, all while factoring in her specific medical conditions.

4. We are getting increasingly helpless!

As a charity, we are going through hugely challenging times. We are faced with an increase in animal suffering and considerable decrease in aid, which is both exhausting and demoralising!

Regardless of the overwhelming financial costs and difficulty of animal rescues, it's impossible for us to stay indifferent to animal suffering. Organisations like ours are in crisis, battling growing debts and a prevailing sense of helplessness...
