1. In Morocco, Karim is nearly out of kibble to feed the 285 dogs he cares for in his shelter and on the streets. They will starve if no one helps!
"Kibble is the basic necessity for our dogs. And now, we only have enough for 2 more days! We've been reducing their portions for the past 15 days, but this can't continue. We're already seeing the consequences: our dogs are losing weight, and we can no longer participate in rescue operations.
We have 135 dogs in our shelter and 150 more on the streets who depend on us: we need help, now more than ever! All these dogs are defenseless, and our species is often the cause of their misfortune... That's why we fight for them, to give them a chance to survive. But without kibble, we can't do anything for them!"
2. Without kibble, the shelter's disabled dogs will wither away and the street dogs will be put down.
"If we don't get kibble, it will be a disaster. Most of the dogs in the shelter are disabled: amputated, blind, one-eyed, underweight or sick. Without kibble, they won't last long...
On the streets, there are packs of dogs waiting for us to feed them every day in the usual places, on the outskirts of the city. If we stop feeding them, they risk moving towards the city center... And then, it's capture that awaits them, the pound, slaughter... It's unbearable to even think about that! We need this kibble, it's vital."
3. Debts, insufficient donations, and unsuccessful pleas for help: Karim has no fallback plan, this campaign must succeed!
"We can't buy kibble, we have a lot of debt, and donations are too low. We've tried asking for help, but it's led to nothing. We've contacted associations, businesses, even the city hall... Nothing. We've launched appeals for donations on social media, but it's not enough.
This campaign is our only hope to be able to feed the dogs. Our financial situation is precarious, and we've exhausted all possible options to obtain kibble. Over-indebtedness prevents us from taking out any further loans... We have no fallback solution!"
4. Karim is not asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.
"I've been fighting for animals for years, and I can tell you it's far from easy. In Morocco, animal welfare is not always taken seriously, and we severely lack support. I often feel alone, overwhelmed. But I continue, because I know it's important.
I know that these animals need us. In this fight, we must remember that every action counts, every donation makes a difference. If we stand together, if we support each other, we can make a real difference. We can give a chance to these animals who have suffered so much!"
