1. In Serbia, Natalija and Snezana have run out of kibble to feed the 127 dogs in their shelter. They will starve if no one helps!
"Our stock of kibble is completely empty! For a week now, we've been feeding our 127 dogs with stale bread... They are hungry, but we have nothing else to offer them!
The dogs are losing weight and weakening. Every day, we have to turn away new dogs because we can't feed them.
We urgently need help. Donations are too low, and our personal resources are exhausted. We are buried in debt... We give everything for these dogs, but we don't know how we'll be able to continue feeding them without your help!"
2. Without kibble, Snezana and Natalija are powerless; doomed to see their dogs' health deteriorate!
"In the long term, this forced diet of stale bread will inevitably compromise the health of our dogs... They will continue to lose weight and weaken. They risk falling ill, and we will then be stuck in a vicious circle: medical care and veterinary bills that we won't be able to afford!
We are terrified at the thought of seeing even one of our beloved dogs suffer or die: they are our family! Subjecting them to this precarious situation is unbearable... We absolutely must find a solution to spare them from this suffering."
3. Short of solutions for feeding their dogs, Snezana and Natalija are begging us to intervene.
"We have exhausted all options to procure kibble. We contacted our usual suppliers, but they refuse to give us credit until we've paid off our debts. The situation is so dire that we even have debts at the local bakery for the stale bread we get from them...
We have sought help from the town hall and local associations, but no one is able to assist us. We made an appeal on social media, but people seem indifferent to the situation of our dogs or cannot afford to help.
We feel powerless. Every day, it's the same story: we wonder how we will be able to feed our dogs... Our only recourse is to turn to you!"
4. Natalija and Snezana aren't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.
"Unfortunately, in this country, the authorities and the population seem completely disinterested in the fate of stray animals. Too often, we see dogs thrown into the streets, condemned to a life of suffering. It's an everyday struggle to try to save them!
We spend all our personal money to provide them with food and veterinary care, and we spend our days by their side to bring them love and comfort. We are exhausted, both physically and emotionally; but these dogs have only us!
Without our shelter, they would end up in the pound or die in the streets. This is what drives us to persevere, day after day. That, and their gratitude for being saved... It's worth all the gold in the world!"
5. If this campaign succeeds, Natalija and Natalija will not receive any money but 1600 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Serbia.
