Mahana is a cat of around 10 years old, whom we took in at the shelter after she was injured in an accident. Her tail was torn off, leaving her unable to control her urination.
For some time now, she has been suffering from recurrent bladder infections, and has blood in her urine... so we have a treatment to give her in her food.
A wet diet would help to keep Mahana hydrated, and to reduce the risk of urinary infections. It would also be a good way for her to regain her strength and easily ingest her medication to get better.
In addition to the kittens we find outdoors, there are always a huge number of abandonments. At present, there are 200 cats in the shelter and around thirty in foster homes... Donations and subsidies are not enough to cover all our expenses!
