1. She has been abused!

Petunia is an 8-year-old dog that we brought back from Reunion Island. There, she was in the pound, where she suffered substantial abuse. She arrived undernourished and skeletal, often vomiting...

2. She has two diseases following infection by various parasites...

Due to a lack of care, Petunia ended up contracting heartworm disease and spirocercosis, an infection by roundworms that lodge in the oesophagus and block the veins.

Poor Petunia had swollen paws! We therefore administered treatment, but the dead worms are struggling to pass...

3. The right canned food would help her on the road to recovery

Canned food suitable for gastrointestinal issues could help Petunia regain her strength, without causing further vomiting. This would be her chance to gain weight and more easily ingest her various treatments.

Such a diet would help her regain her condition, and give her much-needed cheer after all the terrible trials she has been through!

4. The situation is particularly challenging!

Some time ago, we conducted large-scale rescues on Reunion Island, which incurred considerable expenses. Due to budget constraints, we had to stop taking in cases from outside our department.

The situation is difficult, which is why we need help to be able to provide appropriate food to our little charges in need...
