1. In Morocco, Rokaya is almost out of kibble to feed the 175 dogs at her shelter. They will starve if no one helps!

"The dogs are already hungry; it's been ten days since their portions were reduced. I just emptied the last bag of kibble, and the situation is becoming desperate... The thought that the worst is yet to come is terrifying!

Every day now, I see fights breaking out. Those who are unfortunate enough to be submissive or too weak stay on the sidelines and struggle to get their share. None of them understand what's happening, but they feel the hunger and the violence it brings.

I don't understand it any more than they do. Honestly, I don't see how we got here, and I don't understand the indifference to our cries for help. Without kibble, for a shelter of 175 dogs, what will happen? Anxiety and sadness now define my days... I need to believe that someone will hear our distress."

2. The shelter's dogs are too vulnerable to survive without kibble.

###

"Among the dogs I shelter, not all have had the same chances or possess the same strength. The shelter has many elderly dogs; several suffer from diseases, sometimes chronic. I also have dogs injured from accidents or mistreatment...

These dogs are inherently more vulnerable and weaker compared to others, and there are limits to what they can endure. The kibble shortage is one of those limits: they won't be able to overcome such an ordeal; they simply can't.

Being able to offer a second chance to these animals is an indescribable joy that I have experienced countless times thanks to the shelter. But seeing them wither away because I can no longer feed them is a distress I can't bear..."

3. Rokaya has kept expenses to a minimum, but the costs keep rising... She can't afford to buy kibble.

###

"The little budget I have is now consumed by operating expenses and ongoing charges, which are unavoidable. These dogs also can't live without a roof over their heads, without water, without veterinary care...

I have already cut down everything to the bare minimum; there are no more superfluous expenses. The general trend is rising for all routine expenses, suppliers, service providers, infrastructures—all are increasing their rates, but our resources are stagnant, and we can't keep up...

I've taken numerous steps, sought additional aid, tried to establish partnerships, but no one seems interested, and no one feels concerned about the fate of these dogs, who did not end up here by accident; it's a collective responsibility!"

4. Rokaya isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"Like many, I started modestly, by helping one dog, then another, and eventually ended up with a shelter full of abandoned dogs! I dedicate my time and energy to providing a better life for these animals because I have a deep conviction that we must take care of them, and I have an unwavering love for them.

Of course, it's physically challenging; the days are sometimes endless, with countless tasks to be done daily. There is also the heavy emotional fatigue when you love animals and are confronted with the suffering they endure day after day... it can be overwhelming.

But it's the small moments of light that keep me going, seeing a dog healed, a happy and affectionate dog that was terrified upon arrival, a dog leaving for a new family, etc. And I assure you, they understand; you can see in their eyes that little spark of gratitude, which tells me I am right to fight for them."

5. If this campaign succeeds, Rokaya will not receive any money but 2000 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistics centre in Morocco which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble throughout the country.

6. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail...

Liste des récoltes échouées

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

7. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies. It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many dogs remain starving in the street!
