Calicivirus, hyperthyroidism... poor Jolicœur is plagued with health problems!

1. His mouth is inflamed!

Jolicoeur is a 14 year old cat, suffering from calicivirus. This disease causes gum inflammation, resulting in a painful chewing experience. Consequently, we give him antibiotics injections every month for pain relief.

2. He suffers from hyperthyroidism...

Jolicoeur has a thyroid imbalance causing diarrhoea. As a result, he has lost weight recently.

3. With blankets, he would stay warm this winter

A set of blankets would help Jolicoeur stay warm during winter. By assisting him in maintaining his body heat more efficiently, the blankets would allow him to enjoy a more restorative rest, which could increase his chances of recovering from the calicivirus.

4. Our resources are very limited...

We encounter a lot of cases of calicivirus among the cats we take care of. With around forty tomcats under our wing, we are trying to run collections, but life has become tough for everyone! Resources are limited while needs are increasing...
