Lia is a 4-year-old cat whom we have just taken in. The person who was supposed to look after her while her owner was absent, neglected her. Forced to eat whatever she could find to survive, Lia ended up dehydrated!
Now, her owner no longer wants her. Therefore, we've taken her under our wing. Sadly, she has lingering health problems from this traumatic period, suffering frequent bouts of diarrhoea.
Canned food would be extremely beneficial for Lia, as it's easy to digest, which could help alleviate her diarrhoea, while also nursing her weakened intestines back to health and keeping her hydrated. It would also be an excellent way for her to regain her strength and improve her general well-being.
At the moment, there are no donations or adoptions. As a result, we're still looking after an overwhelming number of kittens from last year who have grown... Financially, things are tough, as we have many cats to care for!
With the fresh influx of kittens that are set to arrive, the situation is going to worsen. In such circumstances, we don’t know how we're going to manage purchasing specialised food for the cats who need it!
