Animal Webaction
This campaign has failed... SOS dogs of Morocco hasn't received anything. Why?

It is always a huge disappointment to see a campaign fail, it means that the concerned animals will not receive any help. Unfortunately, we can not ship incomplete campaigns.

When a campaign fails, why can't you at least deliver what has been collected ?

We want to maximize the help we are all bringing to the animals in distress. Our campaign goals are calculated to balance our storage, delivery and manufacturing costs of the offered products.

Delivering failed campaigns would generate too many costs, which would eventually lead to the bankruptcy of the website and leave all the animals that we could have helped alone...

The delivery of unfinished campaigns is also physically impossible for some products (if only 50% of a kennel is financed: we can not cut it in half).

Why can't you at least transfer the collected money to the association ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to transfer money instead of the advertised product (article L 548-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code).

For this reason, when a campaign fails, donations are immediately refunded. If they want to, donors can send this money directly to the association.

If you can't transfer the collected money to the association, why don't you just send it to another one ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to use the money for anything else than the original use announced in the campaign (article L 548-1).

So, unfortunately, we are not allowed to transfer donations from a campaign to another.

What happens to the free clicks assigned to a failed campaign?

Free clicks are saved before being reallocated to other campaigns (free clicks being immaterial, they are not submited to the same obligations than financial donations).

1. In Morocco, Ibtissam is almost out of kibble : the 182 dogs relying on her at the shelter will starve if no one steps in!

%%%

"With 182 dogs to feed every day, kibble runs out so quickly. It’s already been one week since they’ve had enough to eat. I’m stretching the stock as much as possible, hoping to avoid the day when there’s nothing left to give them. Yet, in just 2 days at most, I’ll have nothing left, and I don’t know what I’ll do then.

Every morning, I count the remaining bags with a knot in my stomach. I see them getting thinner, their ribs becoming prominent. Seeing them like this while being unable to provide what they need makes me feel helpless and disheartened.

I love them dearly and have sworn to protect them, but I feel like I’ve tried everything to get kibble without success. I hope this campaign will be the lifeline we so desperately need."

2. The scarcer the kibble, the harder it'll be to control fights: Ibtissam fears the worst if this campaign fails!

###

"This is a situation I have always dreaded, one of the worst scenarios a shelter can face. I can already see their behavior changing because they are not eating enough; they are restless, their eyes are anxious.

I pay close attention to each of the dogs in my shelter, always trying to ensure they feel as comfortable as possible, get along well, and avoid conflicts. But if I can't protect them from hunger, nothing I do will prevent them from turning on each other and deadly fights from breaking out."

3.  Ibtissam can't cope with the drop in donations, she desperately needs this kibble!

###

"We have been facing a significant decline in donations for several months now, which we haven’t been able to counter. The problem is multifaceted: an economic crisis affecting everyone, shifting priorities among donors, and a general saturation of calls for help.

I understand all of this; I see and know that the needs are immense and that my shelter is far from the only one struggling day after day. But it doesn’t change the fact that these dogs need to eat, and I need a solution to make that possible.

None of the initiatives taken to boost donations have worked so far, neither within our community, among locals, nor with broader populations that we’ve tried to reach through new communications. Sometimes I feel like I’m hitting a wall of indifference, and it’s disheartening..."

4. Ibtissam isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"I am often asked how I find the strength to continue, especially when faced with so much suffering and neglect daily. The truth is that the dogs themselves give me this strength, and I live to make a difference for them. Every time one of them regains their dignity, joy, and trust, I know that it’s all worth it.

The solitude can be difficult to manage, both personally and with the enormous responsibilities that come with running a shelter. The days are always too short to get everything done, often filled with unexpected problems, and the nights seem too long with all that occupies my thoughts...

But it’s an incredible privilege to be able to change lives. This is not just a figure of speech; it’s truly what we do in a shelter. We change dozens, hundreds, sometimes thousands of lives, one at a time."

5. If this campaign succeeds, Ibtissam will not receive any money, but 2000 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistics platform in Morocco, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble everywhere in the country.

6. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail

Liste des récoltes échouées

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

7. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies. It is very difficult to find funding for kibbles, many dogs remain starving on the street!
