Animal Webaction
This campaign has failed... SOS Serbian dogs hasn't received anything. Why?

It is always a huge disappointment to see a campaign fail, it means that the concerned animals will not receive any help. Unfortunately, we can not ship incomplete campaigns.

When a campaign fails, why can't you at least deliver what has been collected ?

We want to maximize the help we are all bringing to the animals in distress. Our campaign goals are calculated to balance our storage, delivery and manufacturing costs of the offered products.

Delivering failed campaigns would generate too many costs, which would eventually lead to the bankruptcy of the website and leave all the animals that we could have helped alone...

The delivery of unfinished campaigns is also physically impossible for some products (if only 50% of a kennel is financed: we can not cut it in half).

Why can't you at least transfer the collected money to the association ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to transfer money instead of the advertised product (article L 548-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code).

For this reason, when a campaign fails, donations are immediately refunded. If they want to, donors can send this money directly to the association.

If you can't transfer the collected money to the association, why don't you just send it to another one ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to use the money for anything else than the original use announced in the campaign (article L 548-1).

So, unfortunately, we are not allowed to transfer donations from a campaign to another.

What happens to the free clicks assigned to a failed campaign?

Free clicks are saved before being reallocated to other campaigns (free clicks being immaterial, they are not submited to the same obligations than financial donations).

We cannot let the street dogs under Danijela’s care and those at her shelter starve!

Animal Webaction visited the site 06 August 2024 and confirms the situation described below.

1. In Serbia, Danijela is almost out of kibble to feed the dozens of dogs she cares for in her shelter and on the street. They will starve if no one helps!

%%%

"The dogs at the shelter are starting to weaken; they're not eating enough, and the shortage is becoming very apparent. I have very few kibbles left, barely enough to feed them for the next XX days, and only because I'm giving them very small amounts. Otherwise, I would have run out days ago.

The situation is equally alarming for the dogs I care for on the streets, who also have to make do with just a handful of kibble. They are hungry, and it's weakening them, making it much harder for them to get by.

I don't know what we're going to do if we don't get more kibble. Things will quickly deteriorate, and I feel powerless to stop it."

2. The dogs' health is deteriorating and without kibble, Danijela has no recourse to help them...

###

"The kibble shortage is already having consequences; the health of the dogs is rapidly deteriorating, both at the shelter and on the streets. Beyond veterinary care, it's the kibble that keeps them healthy, ensures their immunity, and protects them against various infections and viruses they might catch.

I can't do anything about the deterioration of their condition and the suffering it causes as long as I can't provide them with enough kibble so that each one can eat their fill. I no longer know how to achieve this."

3. Despite Danijela's efforts to raise awareness of her precarious situation, donations and kibble are sorely lacking...

###

"Donations are becoming increasingly rare, which is primarily why the situation has become unbearable. Despite all my efforts to raise awareness about the shelter, the precariousness of the street dogs, and the distress we're in, nothing seems to work. What strikes me the most is the indifference.

I've considered new approaches, contacted companies and sponsors, and tried organizing events. Each closed door is another blow, bringing with it a lot of anxiety and despair."

4. Danijela isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"My mission to help dogs in need is, to be honest, a constant puzzle. Every day brings new challenges: abandoned, injured, or sick dogs we find on the streets, unwanted litters that end up abandoned, and ever-increasing needs that far exceed my meager resources.

We have to manage rescues, veterinary care, compatibility among the dogs, rehabilitation for those who need it, finding families, and more. Few people truly understand what this entails, making it often a solitary commitment. The little support I receive, and the dogs' ability to find joy in life again even after experiencing the worst, are my main motivations to keep fighting this battle."

5. If this campaign succeeds, Danijela will not receive any money, but 2000 kg of kibble, delivered from the Animal Webaction logistics centre in Serbia.

Animal Webaction has a logistics centre in Serbia which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

6. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail...

Liste des récoltes échouées

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

7. In Serbia, street dogs are hunted by the State and ignored by the population, volunteers like Danijela are their only hope.
