1. In Serbia, Gorica is running out of kibble to feed the 160 dogs in her shelter. They will starve if no one intervenes!

%%%

"I only have enough kibble for a few more days. The 160 dogs in the shelter have not been eating enough; the rations are insufficient, but I have no other option. I have to refuse to rescue new dogs, dogs that I know are in distress, because we no longer have enough kibble to feed them. This situation fills me with despair. Every dog I can't take in faces the risk of dying outside, without help, without hope.

The implications are clear: if I don't receive kibble soon, I won't be able to feed or help any dogs, including those who entirely depend on me. The dogs already here, who have suffered before finding refuge, will suffer again, and I can't bear that.

These dogs have no other option; their survival is in my hands. I have already tried so many things that didn't work to get kibble... I am really counting on this campaign; we truly need it."

2. Dogs won't be able to fight hunger and illness without kibble.

###

"If I don't find kibble very soon, the dogs' health will inevitably deteriorate. Already weakened by days of rationing, they are too fragile to withstand further deprivation; they won’t be able to fight off illness or hunger for long.

No veterinary care can combat the effects of malnutrition. Their survival depends on the kibble I can provide them. They rely on me, and the only thing I can still do is fight and not lose hope, even though I am terribly afraid I won't be able to save them."

3. Gorica has made numerous efforts but achieved no result: buying kibble has become out of reach...

###

"For some time now, donations have become increasingly rare. Several people have told me they are facing financial difficulties themselves. With the economic crisis, many hesitate to give, even a little. I have tried to raise awareness by explaining the situation, but the response has been minimal. I’ve tried organizing local collections, going door to door, and setting up donation boxes in stores, but the results haven’t met our needs.

I’ve also sought help from large companies and supermarkets, hoping to get donations of kibble or find new sponsors, but to no avail. Social media, which was once so effective, now seems saturated with calls for help, and our voice gets lost among so many others. Every action I take to address this decline in donations encounters obstacles. The efforts made are not resulting in concrete and sufficient support. I am discouraged and honestly don’t know what more I can do at this point."

4. Gorica isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"When asked why I dedicate my life to saving dogs, the answer is simple: it’s a calling from the heart. I understand that it might seem trivial to some, even ridiculous or laughable to others. But for me, it’s an obvious choice and an indescribable experience that justifies all the efforts.

This doesn’t mean I’m not tired, that I don’t have moments of doubt, or even intense panic, and it certainly doesn’t mean I can face everything alone to ensure these dogs lack nothing. We all encounter times when we need help. I seek neither glory nor recognition, only the satisfaction of knowing I can make a difference for these animals."

5. If this campaign succeeds, Gorica will not receive any money but 1600 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Serbia.
