Emaciation, excessive thirst, fatigue: Mimi has kidney problems!

1. He's suffering from kidney failure...

Mimi is a 16-year-old cat, who has kidney failure. As his kidneys can no longer properly eliminate toxins from his body, he has lost a lot of weight and drinks more than usual. We are therefore giving him medication.

2. He has no teeth left!

With age, Mimi has lost all his teeth. As he can no longer chew, it has become impossible for him to eat dry food.

3. Appropriate canned food would allow him to regain strength

Now that he has no teeth, Mimi will need canned food to continue to feed himself. It would be an opportunity for him to replenish his energy, to recover more easily from his operation. We would give him a type of canned food specifically designed to be gentle on the kidneys.

4. The period is particularly financially difficult...

Several animals that we care for have had health problems, which have resulted in significant costs. With kittens coming in and our 200 wards to look after, we can't keep up financially!
