Animal Webaction visited the site 31 August 2024 and confirms the situation described below.
"The number of street cats is increasing day by day! I currently have 200 cats under my care, and no kibble left whatsoever! I'm bringing food scraps to them here and there, and it's far from enough. The most fragile cats are already starting to lose weight...
I can't bear to see these cats suffer in front of my eyes; it's terrible for me morally... These cats have no one else to rely on; they are at the mercy of all the dangers in the streets.
Their only comfort and hope for survival are the kibble I bring them! This campaign is my last chance to help them before it's too late..."
"These poor cats, I don't know how to help them anymore. If I don't find some kibble soon, they're going to wander around looking for something to eat, taking all sorts of risks... I'm afraid they'll be run over by a car! The roads here are very dangerous.
Hunger will drive them close to houses, and I'm afraid people will hurt them... I've already seen terrible things happen! Very few people welcome hungry stray cats into their homes...
It really makes me sick to think of all the dangers they are exposed to. I desperately need kibble to keep them out of harm's way!"
"Recently, veterinary expenses have skyrocketed. These are essential treatments, of course, but they have strained my already tight budget. It's hard to stay optimistic when I see the kibble reserves dwindling rapidly!
I live in constant anxiety about not being able to provide them with what they need. I'm doing everything I can, striving to give them a decent life despite the difficulties. But when faced with unexpected challenges and my limited resources, I quickly find myself at a loss.
The blind trust these cats have in me, their eyes pleading for a simple handful of kibble, constantly reminds me of the importance and responsibility I have toward them."
"Some people tell me that I do too much for these animals, that they aren't meant to live with us, in the city. But who are we to decide their fate? They are here, left to fend for themselves, and they deserve our compassion, our help.
I am just one person among many, with my own limits and weaknesses. But in the face of these animals' suffering, I can't remain indifferent. Their fate is in our hands; it's up to us to reach out to them."
