Diabetic and suffering from gingivitis, life isn't easy for Pastel...

1. He's got diabetes!

Pastel is an approximately 10-year-old cat who is unfortunately diabetic. His body can no longer use glucose as a source of energy, because his pancreas no longer produces enough insulin. Therefore, he needs to receive injections twice a day.

2. He suffers from chronic gingivitis...

Pastel's gums were so inflamed that it was necessary to extract his teeth in order to alleviate his distress. Consequently, he can no longer chew his food...

3. Canned food would help him regain strength healthily

Suitable canned pâté could give Pastel a more easy-to-consume diet. Specifically designed for diabetic cats, this type of food would help to regulate his glucose intake, whilst providing enough nutrients to maintain his strength.

4. Many distressed tomcats rely on us!

With inflation, it's difficult to find partner stores willing to coordinate 'caddie operations'. Donations are dwindling, even though we have to look after 250 cats, many of whom live on the streets or are unadoptable.
