"With so many abandoned cats and kittens, I currently have to feed 127 stray cats, spread across 13 feeding sites. Unfortunately, our kibble stocks are completely depleted! I’ve been buying small amounts as I can, but my personal finances just can’t keep up...
As a result, the cats are being rationed and often only receive low-quality kibble, which I desperately try to mix with pasta. Many of them are getting sick or developing kidney issues due to malnutrition. If this situation drags on, I won’t have enough money to feed them at all... many are at risk of starving!"
"We have many older cats, and a lot of them have health conditions. The veterinary bills are enormous, amounting to hundreds of euros each time! This year has been even harder than usual, with the additional cost of kittens I’ve found.
Unfortunately, membership has dropped significantly, and our in-store donation drives aren’t very successful. The last one only filled one shopping cart, which lasted just a week! People don’t feel involved in the cause and don’t have much to give. The association receives no subsidies, only a few vouchers for sterilization. I’m left to fund everything else on my own!"
"Adam is an old cat who’s always lived outside. He’s been mistreated by passersby, having rocks thrown at his face, and has been chased by dogs! Life outdoors offers him no rest. Since he’s deaf, it’s even harder for him to protect himself from danger.
I try to keep him in a safe area, always feeding him in the same spot. But if I run out of kibble to give him, he might wander off and starve..."
"Taking care of the cats is physically exhausting. Every day, I have to carry kilos of kibble and liters of water! This year, I had knee surgery, and despite other health issues, my disability allowance was cut. I couldn’t take any holidays this summer. Emotionally, it’s becoming harder and harder to cope...
Since my husband passed away, I’ve been living on just 530 euros a month... Feeding the cats with so little money is impossible! This kibble drive would be a lifeline, finally allowing the cats to eat their fill. It would be an enormous relief for us!"
