Due to a calicivirus, poor Arthur is really struggling to eat!

1. His mouth interior is really inflamed…

Arthur is a 10-year-old cat, who is unfortunately suffering from a calicivirus. Black sores have formed around his mouth and his gums are inflamed, causing many of his teeth to fall out.

Only the canines remain, but the vet can't remove them to ease his pain because Arthur's heart is too delicate, and there is a risk he wouldn't survive such an operation.

2. Blankets would offer him a comfortable rest

A set of blankets would help Arthur to maintain his body heat more effectively during the winter. This would provide him with a more restorative rest, helping him to keep strong.

3. Many distressed moggies are counting on us!

With inflation, it's difficult to find partner shops to organise trolley drives. Donations are down, while we are responsible for looking after 250 cats, many of whom live on the streets or are unadoptable.
