Willy is a young kitten of about 4 months, who was reported to us because he was living on the streets, not eating, and had a swelling on his cheek. When we took him in, he had a fever of over 40 degrees and urgently needed care.
In reality, Willy was suffering from a large abscess on his cheek, which was the cause of his high fever. He also has calicivirus and is currently undergoing antibiotic treatment to fight it.
A wet diet, specially tailored for kittens, would provide Willy with all the vitamins and nutrients he needs to continue his growth. The difficult conditions in which he started his life, and his multiple infections have weakened him.
We are currently caring for about forty kittens, and adoptions are scarce. With this wave of abandonments, it is becoming difficult to feed all the animals we care for. Our resources are nearly exhausted, and we are very worried about not being able to meet their needs...
