Marina is a donkey born in 2009 that we took in because her owner was moving and couldn't take care of her anymore.
We're afraid that she might have cushing's syndrome as she has very coarse hair... This disease is common in elderly horses and could be a sign of her health deteriorating on several levels.
Pellets that are specifically tailored to her needs could help Marina to healthily obtain her energy requirements. They would provide her with balanced nourishment and also be easy for her to eat.
Having access to such food would enable her to stay in shape while we find out more about her health condition.
We are taking in more and more animals in poor health, often very tired. Despite these challenges, we continue to look after them to the best of our ability. However, managing their care and space is becoming increasingly complex.
