Scout is a two-year-old dog who was beaten by hunters. The blows fractured his jaw, and one tooth pierced into his gum! As he was neither identified nor neutered, he was at risk of being euthanised!
So, we took him in. Lacking appropriate care and sufficient food, he was skeletal and heavily infested with parasites upon arrival...He is currently receiving antiparasitic treatment and has been identified.
Scout suffers from frequent diarrhoea, which hampers his weight recovery. We are thus trying to restore his gut flora to break this vicious cycle. Once he is in better shape, we can extract the tooth embedded in his gum.
Blankets would provide a comfortable spot for Scout to rest. They would keep him shielded from the damp and drafts, enabling him to have a more peaceful winter. A touch of warmth would do him a world of good!
We are overwhelmed with abandonments recently. Many people can no longer afford to care for their pets, leading to a significant increase in our responsibilities...
