1. She has cardiac and pulmonary problems!

Isabelle is a 19-year-old draft mare who arrived pregnant and in the midst of a heaves crisis. As she also has a heavy heart murmur, the slightest effort exhausts her.

She can't tolerate hay because it triggers coughing fits... We have managed to stabilise her by feeding her grass, but we have almost run out!

2. She’s struggling to regain her strength...

When she arrived, Isabelle was at least 100 kg underweight. Since then, she has gained a little weight, but still not enough. With the return of the cold and wet weather, we fear she might lose weight again...

3. Pellets would efficiently help her regain her strength

Moistened pellets would be perfect for Isabelle. This would be an opportunity for her to refuel with vitamins and minerals without risk, to regain her strength. This way, she would be in a better condition towards the end of her pregnancy and could give birth peacefully.
