Cleo is a three-year-old cat, who lives outside. She's suffering from a calicivirus that prevents her from eating normally. She can no longer chew dry food, as it's simply too painful. We administer cortisone to her, crushed in her food, in order to alleviate her discomfort...
Wet food would be beneficial for Cleo, as it's easier for her to ingest than dry food. Such canned food would provide her with suitable nutrition that's gentler on her sensitive mouth.
In this way, she could more comfortably load up on essential nutrients daily, and take her medications with ease.
We receive no subsidies for the association. We're simply waiting for funding from the Brigitte Bardot Foundation so we can neuter the cats, as reproduction continues all year round.
Our food supplies are dwindling, while fifty or so free-roaming cats depend on us for daily meals!
