"Life has become so expensive that even kibble is a luxury now... It breaks my heart. No matter how much I ask for help, people are giving less and less. Feeding my dogs has become a real challenge.
I’ve been stretching the kibble for days, and I only have enough left for two more days, at best. The dogs can sense it; they aren’t getting enough to eat. They’re stressed and hungry… I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m completely lost.
I’ve asked for help everywhere, but no one is able to lend me a hand. Yet, everyone knows it's impossible to fight this battle alone. It’s already hard when you have three, four, or five dogs, and I have 70! This campaign is my only hope."
2.Already agitated by hunger, the dogs will become uncontrollable without kibble: Samira fears she won't be able to stop the fights anymore!
"The dogs are very restless, noisy. They’re fighting more often, and I constantly have to intervene to separate them. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to keep the situation under control. Without kibble... it’s going to turn into a nightmare.
I also worry about their health. Without kibble, they’re going to weaken, and they’re at risk of getting sick, especially with the cold coming. We’re in the mountains, and the climate is really harsh here. We know what to expect…
I’m not asking for anything extravagant — just enough to keep them healthy. Dogs are simple creatures: a little food and affection are enough to make them happy. All I want is to be able to give them that…"
3. Prices are soaring, and donations are drying up: overwhelmed by debt, Samira can no longer afford to buy kibble.
"Prices keep rising: kibble, gas, water, electricity... everything has become more expensive, and it’s really hard to manage. It breaks my heart to see how difficult it’s become to access basic needs.
I don’t have any personal income, so it’s extremely hard for me to meet the dogs’ and the shelter’s needs in this whirlwind of financial instability. Even donors are sharing their concerns, and their help is diminishing. It’s a terrible situation for everyone.
I owe the vet for vaccinations, and I also have debts for waste collection, water, and electricity… I need support from all the kind people out there. A bag of kibble or a vaccine might seem insignificant to you, but it means everything to us! Please, help us… These dogs deserve to be fed and happy in this ruthless world."
4. Samira isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.
"I’ve learned so much from my dogs, and I keep learning every day. They’ve taught me patience and loyalty. Their unconditional love inspires me to become a better person. In hard times, all it takes is for them to look at me with their gentle eyes, and I find an inner strength I never knew I had.
I wish everyone could understand that we need each other, that helping one another is a core value. We’re all part of a great chain, where each link is essential for survival, and animals are a key part of that.
Helping an innocent soul full of love brings immense fulfillment. If at least one person realized this every day, I’m convinced the world would gradually become a better place. Sometimes, I like to believe it’s possible."
5. If this campaign succeeds, Samira will not receive any money but 1440 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics centre in Bosnia.
