Fever, dehydration, torn out fur, vomiting: Rox looked skeletal when we found him!

1. He was in a critical condition!

Rox is a cat of around two years old, who we found on the street. He was emaciated and had patches of fur missing, due to a flea allergy. As a result, we took him under our care and treated his parasites.

2. He caught typhus and had to be hospitalised...

Rox also had typhus, with a high fever and was constantly vomiting. He was so dehydrated that he needed to be hospitalised for several days. Treatment stabilized him, but he remains frail and still vomits occasionally.

3. Suitable canned food could help ease his troubles

Gastro-intestinal canned food could help Rox recover effectively. By sparing his weakened intestines, such a diet could soothe his vomiting and aid his recovery. Gradually, he would regain better form.

4. The association is being hit by a typhus epidemic!

At present, we are managing around thirty cats in foster homes and another thirty as free-roaming cats. We are facing a difficult situation, with a constant influx of kittens.

Sadly, typhus has spread even into our foster homes! Several cats have died as a result of this disease...
