1. He was in a critical condition...

Commandant is a 17-year-old Camargue horse, who we took into care following a seizure by the gendarmerie. He was left to fend for himself in a field, without any food... When he arrived a fortnight ago, you could see all his bones!

2. Pellets would help him regain his strength

In addition to hay, pellets would enable Commandant to effectively regain weight. He could thus quickly replenish his energy, and be out of danger before the return of the cold. This would be a genuine relief for him!

3. Our resources are increasingly limited...

We are facing an increase in interventions, with animals often in difficult situations. Many organisations are overrun, and we are being increasingly called upon!

This complicates daily management, especially with the limited resources we have at our disposal...
