1. In Morocco, Hind is running out of kibble to feed the 400 street dogs her association cares for. They will starve if no one steps in to help!

%%%

"I take care of 400 street dogs across Dar Bouazza, Sidi Rahal, Nouaceur, and Casablanca. A handful of volunteers help me feed them, that is, when we have kibble... For two weeks now, we’ve had to cut back on our rounds, giving out only one ration a day. The dogs aren’t getting enough to eat, and their diet is far from sufficient.

Their living conditions are dire. Abandonments are increasing, the number of dogs is rising, and with limited resources, we can't sterilize them all. The city authorities only round up the dogs randomly and euthanize them...

We only have five bags of kibble left – an insignificant amount compared to the vast needs in the streets and at the shelter. With each distribution, we face heart-wrenching choices: who will get to eat today, who can we save? The lack of kibble is a death sentence: starving or facing euthanasia. I am terrified for them… And I am exhausted, both physically and mentally."

2. Weakened by severe mange and an abscess, Leona urgently needs kibble to survive and withstand her treatment.

###

"Leona is a four-year-old dog living near the Souk. She suffers from mange, a paw injury, and is severely underweight. Sadly, we can’t bring her to the shelter right now, as she could infect the others…

We have started her on treatment for mange, but without kibble, it won’t work: her immune system is depleted, leaving her vulnerable to infections, parasites, and disease. She needs kibble to keep going, to have a chance at survival and recovery!"

3. At Hind’s shelter, 55 vulnerable dogs are also severely affected by the lack of kibble!

%%%

"Our shelter takes in the most vulnerable dogs: the sick, the injured, and puppies. Lacking kibble when caring for such fragile dogs is disastrous… Right now, the shelter dogs survive on bread and scraps.

They’re not getting enough to eat, and what they do eat lacks the nutrients they need. They’re deprived of essential vitamins and minerals to support their immune defenses. Over time, they’re becoming even more fragile, exposed to infections and illness…

The lack of kibble is starting to affect their behavior, too; some dogs have become aggressive. I fear what this means: not only is their health declining, but their chances of survival are slipping away… This situation is overwhelming, as their survival depends entirely on us – on me, on my ability to feed them. Without help, I won’t be able to save them..."

4. Sara is injured, and her recovery is stalling without kibble...

###

"Sara has been at the shelter for about a month. This poor dog was reported near the airport, struggling with an old wound, likely from an accident weeks ago.

She’s trying to recover, but the wound on her leg is healing slowly. By the time we got the alert, she had already been dragging this injury for a long time, delaying her treatment and leaving lasting effects.

The lack of food is further slowing her recovery... She needs kibble urgently for her condition to improve!"

5. Donations are plummeting, Hind has no income and her debts are piling up; she won’t be able to meet the dogs’ needs without support.

###

"Donations have dropped significantly. A few loyal donors still send a bit of help, but it doesn’t exceed 60 euros a month. With the global crisis and rising costs, people prefer to keep their resources for themselves. I can no longer afford to buy kibble... I had to leave my job, taking early retirement to manage rescues and care. My salary funded everything: shelter expenses, staff wages, medications, hygiene products, and veterinary care.

Now, I’m in debt everywhere: at the vet, the gas stations, the pharmacy, and I owe several months’ wages to shelter staff. I can’t rely on credit from our veterinarians anymore; they now demand immediate payment for each treatment…

I fear I won’t be able to continue… One hand alone can’t clap: I need help to feed, sterilize, and save the animals. Without this delivery, everything could collapse!"

6. Hind is not asking for money, only kibble to keep the dogs from starving.

###

"For years, I’ve fought for animals as president of the 'Comme Chiens et Chats Maroc' association. The task is immense: here, animal protection is marginalized and matters to no one. Raising public awareness is a challenge; many overlook the importance of adoption and sterilization, worsening the stray animal crisis and raising public health concerns.

Public initiatives in this regard are non-existent: there is no law punishing pet abuse, and the authorities themselves conduct culls. For these animals, the street is a death trap: they risk being picked up by animal control, poisoned, run over, or starving to death.

Yet, we don’t give up. Each year, we rescue and help dozens of animals find homes. Every stray dog marked with a TNR tag has been sterilized and vaccinated thanks to our efforts. Our resources are limited, but we remain committed: one animal at a time, we strive to make a difference."

7. If this campaign succeeds, Hind will not receive any money but 1800 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistic platform in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Morocco, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

8. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

9. In Morocco, donors are rare, and there are no foundations or subsidies… It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many cats are left starving in the street!
